How applying a template works
- 01
Pick a layout
Every template shows its full channel list, role ladder and permission layout before you touch anything, with the reasoning behind each choice.
- 02
Review the plan
Vetox counts what it will create, reuse or delete on your server and asks you to confirm. Merge adds what is missing; replace rebuilds from scratch.
- 03
Apply and keep the safety copy
A backup of your server is taken first, then the template is built. Restore that backup from Server Backup at any time to go back.
Frequently asked questions
Do I lose my existing channels when I apply a template?
Not in merge mode. Merge adds the template's channels and roles and reuses any of yours with the same name, deleting nothing. Replace mode deletes every channel and role first and is confirmed by typing your server's name, and both modes take a safety backup before writing.
Does applying a template cost anything?
No. Applying a template is free on every Vetox plan. The snapshot it creates counts against your plan's stored-backup limit, and you can delete it afterwards.
Can I use a template without Vetox?
Every template page offers its structure as a Discord-format JSON file, the same format Server Backup exports. Any tool that reads that format can load it; applying it through Vetox is what adds the plan, the safety backup and the one-click merge.
