About Social & Hobbies templates

Hobby servers are built around a shared interest and the urge to show what you did with it. These templates give every interest the same backbone, a discussion category by sub-topic, a sharing channel or forum for photos and projects, a recommendations channel, a questions or help channel and a lounge for everything else, then bend it to the hobby. A book club gets a current-read channel, a spoiler-locked discussion thread per book and a shelf forum; a film and TV server gets a watch-list, a spoiler-tagged discussion forum and watch-party voice; a fitness server gets a progress channel, a workouts forum and a daily check-in; cooking gets recipes, a what-I-made channel and a questions forum; travel gets destinations by region, a trip-planning channel and a photo forum; pets get species channels and a vet-questions channel with a clear disclaimer. Roles are self-assignable interests and a moderator tier, nothing heavier. Self-Roles cover sub-interests, Leveling and Streaks reward regulars, Reminders keep clubs on schedule, and Suggestions choose the next pick.

Frequently asked questions

There is no template for my exact hobby. What should I use?

Start from the closest one and rename the channels; the backbone is the same for every interest. A discussion category, a sharing channel, recommendations, questions and a lounge fit almost any hobby.

How do book and film servers handle spoilers?

Each title gets its own thread in a forum tagged as spoilers, and the current pick has a channel locked behind a self-assignable finished-it role, so nobody sees the ending by accident.

Do these templates need many voice channels?

No. One or two rooms plus a watch-party room where the hobby calls for it. Temp Voice makes extra rooms when a meetup fills up.
