About Clans & Guilds templates
A clan server is a hierarchy made visible. Recruits, members, veterans, officers and leaders each see a little more than the tier below, and the templates here encode that ladder in both roles and channel overwrites so it holds without anyone policing it. The public area handles recruitment and applications; the member area carries the day-to-day chat, event signups and loot or resource threads; the officers' room and leadership channel are hidden from everyone else. War and raid planning gets its own category with a planning forum, a signup channel and a voice room per squad. Layouts differ by game type: an MMO guild wants a bank ledger, a crafting request channel and raid rosters, a mobile clan wants a war attack-order channel and a quick donations feed, a survival group wants base coordination and a shared map channel. Applications handles the recruitment form, Self-Roles marks squads, and Auto Roles promotes a recruit automatically after the trial period you set.

Frequently asked questions
How do I keep officer channels private after applying the template?
The overwrites are part of the template: officer and leadership categories are hidden from the member tier by default. Only rename roles; keep their position in the hierarchy.
Can recruits see the member chat?
Not in these layouts. Recruits see the recruitment and rules area only until they are promoted, which keeps the trial period meaningful.
Is there a template for a small squad without ranks?
Yes. The squad layouts drop the officer tier and keep one private planning channel, which is enough for five to twenty people.
