About Events templates
An event server has a beginning and an end, and its structure should make the current moment obvious. These templates put the schedule, announcements and a live or happening-now channel at the top, give each track or session a channel or thread, and use stage channels for talks and Q&A so the speaker holds the floor while questions go into a text channel beside it. Conference layouts add a category per track, a sponsors category with a channel per sponsor and a networking area with an introductions channel and a jobs board; hackathon layouts add team formation, a submissions forum, a mentors' help channel and a judging room; festival and convention layouts add a map or venue channel, meetups by interest and a lost-and-found channel; recurring-meetup layouts stay small and reset each cycle. Roles are time-bound, attendee, speaker, sponsor, volunteer, crew and organiser, with a crew room hidden from attendees. Reminders drive the schedule, Applications take speaker or team submissions, Tickets handle attendee problems, and Temp Voice gives every hallway conversation a room.

Frequently asked questions
Why stage channels instead of voice channels for sessions?
A stage keeps the audience muted and the speaker in control, and questions go to a text channel where they can be read in order. A voice channel with two hundred people in it is unmoderatable.
Can I reuse the server for the next edition?
Yes. Take a Server Backup after the event, archive the session channels, and either restore the backup or merge the template again before the next edition to recreate the schedule structure.
