Overview

Built for a group that watches sport together, whether that is one club's fixtures or a whole tournament. Match Day is the live half and the reason for the split voice rooms: Home End and Away End let supporters of each side shout at their own people, while Neutral Ground is for everyone who just wants the game on. #live-thread runs alongside with no slowmode, because a match thread that throttles is useless, and #full-time is where the argument continues once the whistle goes. Fixtures is read-only and fed by Notifications: #fixture-list for what is coming, #kickoff-times converted to the group's timezones, and #results. #predictions is the low-effort competition that keeps a watch-party alive between big games — one post per fixture, scores called before kickoff, and a #standings channel written by an organiser. Catch-Up exists because half the group always watches late: #spoiler-free is the one channel where scores, reactions and even celebratory emoji are out of bounds, so somebody three hours behind can still ask what time the replay starts. The Terrace is the social half: #general, #clips-and-highlights, #kit-and-merch and #tickets-and-travel for the people who go in person. Roles are Organiser, plus a self-assigned role per side so the voice rooms and match pings sort themselves.

When to use it

Watching sport in one general channel means the away supporters are shouted down, anyone watching on delay is spoiled within a minute, and nobody can find the kickoff time. This layout splits voice by side so both ends of the ground get to celebrate, keeps one channel strictly spoiler-free for the delayed crowd, and puts fixtures and kickoff times in a read-only feed nobody has to ask about.

  Point Notifications at a fixtures feed so #fixture-list and #results fill without an organiser retyping them.

• Self-Roles

  Post a Self-Roles panel in #pick-your-side so supporters tag themselves and match pings reach only their end.

• Reminders

  Set a Reminder in #kickoff-times an hour before each match so the voice rooms fill before the whistle.

• Temp Voice

  Enable Temp Voice next to Neutral Ground so a big fixture can spill into extra rooms and clean up afterwards.
