Overview
An art stream produces things, and the server is built to hold them. On the Easel is the working half: #wip-from-stream is read-only and gets the work-in-progress shot at the end of every stream, #finished-pieces is read-only and gets the final, #stream-chat is the overflow while live, #art-chat is for everyone else's work and questions, and #references-and-inspo is the shared board of references. Commissions get a category of their own: #commission-info states prices and terms, #commission-queue is read-only and shows who is next, #commission-requests is where a ticket panel takes new requests in private, and #client-updates is visible only to people holding the Commissioner role, so a client sees progress on their piece without it being public. Patrons have a hidden lounge and a read-only #process-videos channel for the recordings. Voice is one Drawing Together room, because the best part of an art community is drawing at the same time, plus AFK. A single hidden #mod-chat covers moderation. Eighteen channels, all of them used.
When to use it
You stream drawing sessions, viewers ask about commissions in the middle of a session, and your finished work scrolls away in the same channel as memes. This layout separates the studio from the shop: work in progress and finished pieces get read-only channels of their own, commissions run through a ticket panel with a public queue and a private client channel, patrons get their process videos in a hidden room, and everyone draws together in one voice channel.

Questions
How do commissions work in this layout?
Read #commission-info, open a ticket in #commission-requests, and agree the piece in private. When it is accepted the client gets the Commissioner role, which shows them #client-updates, and their name goes on #commission-queue so everyone can see where they stand.
Can viewers post in #wip-from-stream?
No. It is read-only for the artist's own work in progress so the record of each piece stays clean. Viewers' work goes in #art-chat, which is open to everyone.
Why only one voice channel?
Because an art community uses voice for one thing: drawing at the same time while talking. Drawing Together is that room. Add a second when the first is regularly full.
Common mistakes
- Taking commission requests in public chat, where prices get argued over and the queue order is lost.
- Posting finished pieces in general, where the piece you spent a week on scrolls away in an hour.
