Overview
The official-feeling fan server for one professional team, built for the two moments that matter, match day and everything between. The News Feed category is entirely read-only: #team-news for the team's own posts, #social-feed for their social accounts, #roster-updates and #live-streams, so a fan who opens the server once a week gets the facts without scrolling chat. Match Centre is the heart of match day: a staff-posted #match-schedule, #live-match-chat with a short slowmode so a thousand people can react without the channel becoming unreadable, #post-match for the calmer conversation, and a Match Watch Party stage where a Watch Party Host commentates while the crowd listens and requests to speak. #match-predictions is for calling the score before the game for bragging rights only; the staff tally them in a hidden channel and post a monthly table in #prediction-leaderboard, and the winner wears Prediction Champion until the next one. The Fan Zone has #the-stands for general talk, #fan-art-gallery, #highlight-reel, #player-spotlight and #team-memes. Merch has a read-only #merch-releases, #merch-photos and #fan-giveaways. Voice offers a Fan Lobby, Pre-Match Hype and Post-Match Debrief rooms. Pro Player is a hoisted role for verified players who drop in, and Superfan is a Leveling reward for the people who have been in the stands for months.
When to use it
Match nights bring a thousand people into one channel, the team's announcements get lost between memes, and the prediction game lives in a spreadsheet someone forgets to update. This layout makes news read-only, gives match day a slowed chat and a hosted stage, and turns predictions into a channel pair with a monthly champion.
What makes it different
- News Feed is fully read-only, so the team's posts, socials and roster changes are never buried.
- Match Watch Party is a stage with a host, so the crowd listens instead of talking over each other.
- #match-predictions and #prediction-leaderboard run a no-stakes prediction game with a monthly champion.
- #live-match-chat has slowmode so a thousand reactions stay readable, and #post-match takes the debrief.
- Pro Player is hoisted for verified players and Superfan rewards months of presence.
Recommended Vetox setup
Notifications
Add the team's YouTube, Twitch and Bluesky accounts to Notifications targeting #social-feed and #live-streams so News Feed fills itself.
Self-Roles
Post a Self-Roles panel in #ping-roles for Match Ping, News Ping and Merch Ping so a match-day mention reaches the fans who asked for it.
Leveling
Give Superfan as a Leveling role reward at a level that takes a few months of #the-stands to reach, so the tier means loyalty.
Giveaways
Run Giveaways in #fan-giveaways for signed merch after a big win, and announce the winners in #hub-announcements.
Starboard
Point Starboard at #fan-art-gallery so the community, not staff, decides which pieces get pinned for the team to see.
Questions
How do predictions work without stakes?
Fans post a score call in #match-predictions before the match and staff lock the channel once it starts. Correct calls are tallied in the hidden #prediction-admin channel and the standings are published in #prediction-leaderboard each month. The top fan gets the Prediction Champion role until the next table. Nothing is paid in and nothing is paid out.
Who can talk in the Match Watch Party stage?
The Watch Party Host opens the stage and speaks; they can invite a guest or a fan who requests to speak and mute the room. Everyone else listens and reacts in #live-match-chat, which is the point of a stage over a voice room during a match.
How do real players get the Pro Player role?
A staff member verifies them, usually through the team's own channels, and assigns the role by hand. It is hoisted so a player's message stands out in #the-stands, and it carries no extra permissions.
Common mistakes
- Attaching prizes with real value to predictions, which changes a game of bragging rights into something that needs rules, oversight and refunds.
- Letting match-day chat run without slowmode, so the channel is unreadable exactly when the most fans are in it.
Consider instead
- Esports Organisation You run the team itself and need roster, coaching and content channels behind the fan side.
