Overview

This layout exists for a channel whose memberships are a real part of its income, and it is organised so that every tier is worth its price and the free floor is still worth joining. #whats-in-each-tier is read-only and lists exactly what each tier gets, which sounds obvious and is the thing almost no membership server has; without it members compare tiers by guessing and the top tier under-sells. The Free Floor is deliberately generous — general, off-topic, a video discussion channel and voice — because a membership server whose free tier is a waiting room converts worse than one people actually want to be in. Tier One adds #members-chat and #early-access, where videos go up before public release. Tier Two adds #behind-the-scenes for rough cuts and scrapped ideas, and #ask-me-anything, which is a channel rather than an event so the creator answers when they can. Tier Three is small and personal: #inner-circle and a monthly Members Call in voice, capped so it stays a conversation rather than a broadcast. Perks Admin is the staff half and matters more than it sounds: #perk-requests collects what members want, #tier-review is where the creator checks quarterly that each tier still earns its price, and #linked-roles-help handles the members whose Discord role did not sync, which is the single most common support request this kind of server gets.

When to use it

Membership servers usually fail by being unclear and top-heavy: nobody can see what a tier includes, the free floor is a waiting room, and the highest tier is a colour. This layout publishes the perk list, keeps the free floor genuinely worth joining, gives each paid tier one thing people actually want, and keeps a channel for the role-sync problems that otherwise fill the creator's inbox.
