Overview

A peer circle for law students, organised the way a first-year timetable is: one DOCTRINE channel per subject, #contracts, #torts, #criminal-law, #constitutional-law, #property-law, #civil-procedure and #evidence, so a question about consideration never sits between two torts hypotheticals. Case briefs get a forum, #case-briefs, where each case is a thread tagged by subject so the brief someone wrote in October is still there in the exam week, with #brief-requests for asking someone to brief a case and #hypotheticals for issue-spotting practice. The OUTLINES LIBRARY is a second forum tagged by subject and year, with #outline-swaps and #past-exam-answers beside it. MOOT COURT is what a text-only study server cannot offer: the Moot Court is a stage channel where the advocates speak and the bench listens, #moot-problems holds the problem set by the hosts, #oral-argument-signups pairs people up, and Oral Argument Practice is a four-seat voice room for rehearsing before the stage. The READING ROOMS split by noise: Silent Reading Room denies speaking, Study Group Room allows it, and Cold Call Prep is for drilling each other before a class where the professor calls on people. Year roles, 1L, 2L, 3L and Bar Prep, are self-assigned, and hosts have a hidden room with #moot-judging-notes.

When to use it

Everyone in your section is briefing the same cases separately, the outline a 3L shared last year is in someone's direct messages, and moot practice happens in whichever voice room is empty with a stranger in it. This layout makes case briefs and outlines two searchable forums, gives moot court a stage where only the advocates are heard, and adds a silent reading room next to a room where cold-call drilling is allowed.
