Questions

Why require terms on every casting call?

Because a call without them shifts the cost onto the actor: they record and submit before discovering it is unpaid, or that the usage is far broader than the fee justifies. Requiring rate, usage, deadline and who is casting takes the poster thirty seconds and prevents the pattern where a server slowly becomes a source of free labour for people who know to omit those details.

Why does a demo critique need the reel's purpose?

Because the same reel can be excellent for one market and useless in another.
