Overview

A community for people building, upgrading and fixing their own PCs, organised by the component that is misbehaving rather than by who is asking. Troubleshooting is six forums - #no-post-no-boot, #cpu-and-cooling, #gpu-and-display, #memory-and-storage, #power-and-cases and #os-and-drivers - each with tags for the common failure modes and a Solved tag, so a helper can filter for open threads about their specialty and a searcher can find the thread that matches their symptom. Build Advice has #build-requests, a forum tagged by budget tier and form factor, plus #parts-list-review for a second opinion on a list before checkout and a read-only #first-build-guide. Deals and Benchmarks is where #deals runs under slowmode and moderator verification, and #benchmarks and #thermals-and-noise hold the numbers people argue about. Showcase gives finished builds a forum thread that outlives the message. Voice has a Live Troubleshooting room for screen-sharing a boot loop and a Build Along room for assembling together. Staff get a hidden mod room with #deal-verification and #scam-reports.

When to use it

Your hardware community has one help channel where a no-POST question, a fan-curve debate and a parts list scroll past each other, and the person who knows about power supplies never sees the power supply question. Splitting troubleshooting into per-component forums with tags means helpers subscribe to what they know, questions stay findable after they are solved, and deals and showcases stop competing with someone whose PC will not turn on.
