Game Server Support
A support desk for a game server network: live status, downtime notices, player help, ban appeals and donor perks.
- 7 categories
- 32 channels
- 11 roles
- Medium
Choose a server, review what will be created or reused, then confirm. Merge keeps what you have; replace rebuilds the server. Vetox takes a safety backup first either way.

Overview
Built for the team behind a game server network - a survival cluster, a modded network, a roleplay city or a minigames hub - whose Discord is where players go when something breaks. The layout follows a player's path. Front Desk holds #how-to-connect and #server-rules, and #pick-your-servers hands out the notification roles for the servers a player actually uses. Status Board is read-only: #server-status is where an admin posts up or down, #downtime-notices explains why, #wipe-schedule lists what resets when, and #restart-log takes the automated restart feed so nobody has to ask whether the crash was noticed. Player Help is a forum tagged by problem type, with #open-a-ticket for anything that needs an admin to look at an account or a rollback. Appeals and Reports keeps #ban-appeals and #report-a-player as separate ticket panels so a report never lands in the same queue as an appeal. Donors get a hidden lounge, a priority ticket channel and their own voice room. Staff work in a hidden category with #ban-review for appeal decisions, #console-alerts for the crash feed and #ticket-transcripts for the record.
When to use it
Your network has grown past the point where players can ping an admin in a general channel: the same 'is the server down?' question arrives twenty times during every restart, ban appeals get argued in public, and donors who paid for perks wait behind everyone else. This layout answers the status question before it is asked, moves appeals and reports into private tickets with their own queues, and gives donors a lane that is visibly faster without hiding the rest of the server from anyone.
What makes it different
- Status Board is read-only, so #server-status and #downtime-notices are never buried under chat.
- #ban-appeals and #report-a-player are separate ticket panels with separate queues for staff.
- Donor Perks is a hidden category with a priority ticket channel and its own voice room.
- Player Help is a forum tagged Connection, Lag, Lost items, Plugins and Account, with a Solved tag.
- #pick-your-servers hands out notification roles, so a wipe notice pings only the players it affects.
Recommended Vetox setup
Tickets
Put one panel in #open-a-ticket, one in #ban-appeals and one in #report-a-player so Server Admins triage three queues instead of one.
Self-Roles
Post a Self-Roles panel in #pick-your-servers for Downtime Pings and Wipe Pings, so restart notices reach only players who opted in.
Reminders
Schedule a Reminder in #wipe-schedule the day before each wipe so nobody loses a base to a reset they forgot.
Logs
Send moderation and join Logs to #network-logs so a ban decided in #ban-review has the original action on record next to it.
Questions
Who can post in the Status Board?
Only Server Admins and above. @everyone is read-only across the whole category, so a status message is always from staff and never a guess from a player. Downtime Pings is a self-assigned role that gets mentioned in #downtime-notices.
Do appeals and reports really need separate channels?
They need separate queues. A report is about someone else and needs evidence; an appeal is about the appellant and needs the ban record. Two panels mean Server Admins can work through reports quickly and give appeals the slower read they deserve, and a reporter never sees an appellant's ticket.
How do donors get their role?
A Head Admin assigns Donor after the payment shows up. The Donor Perks category is hidden from everyone else, so the lounge, #donor-support and the Donor Voice room appear the moment the role is granted.
What is #restart-log for?
It is the read-only channel for the automated feed from your panel or a webhook. Players can check whether a crash was already detected and restarted instead of asking, and staff see the same timeline in #console-alerts with the details.
Common mistakes
- Posting downtime in the general chat, where it scrolls away in minutes and the same question keeps arriving.
- Handling ban appeals in public, which turns every decision into an argument the whole server watches.
Consider instead
- Discord Bot Support Server The thing you support is a Discord bot rather than a game server, and setup questions dominate the volume.
